Charlie Tse
10Km Runner
Charlie is running for the MFMW “to show support for my friend Johannie and all the hardworking individuals like her.”
Having participated in previous charity events by held MFMW, recognised the work of the MFMW, “I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and passion of both the workers (MFMW staffs) and the migrants community, which motivates me to continue supporting this important cause!”
Zed
Half Marathon Runner
Zed is running for the MFMW, “to help and support migrant workers in Hong Kong!”
As a professional Physiotherapist, he wanted the migrant workers community to “never neglect your health! Be Happy and Active ,STILL!"
Zed shared an interesting fact about himself is that, apart from running “I can Sing…. Sort of?!” Join the other MFMW events and you may hear him performing!
Daniel Felmann
Chairman, MFMW Advisory Board
Half marathon Runner
Daniel has been a long time supporter as he joined the Advisory Board of the MFMW in December 2021.
As the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Daniel is dedicated to run for the rights and well-being of thousands of migrant workers in Hong Kong. He is running to ensure that these individuals have access to leisure and sports activities, allowing them to enjoy the same opportunities as others in the community.
Carmina
Full Marathon Runner
Carmina is running for the MFMW, “to show my support for the migrant worker community and to show my fellow migrant workers that we can excel at more than just our careers!”
”I also hope that my fellow migrant workers will see the importance of exercise and its positive impacts on our physical health and mental wellbeing.”
“I am amazed by the dedication you all show to your jobs and to supporting your families back home. I know they are proud of you and appreciate all you do!” Carmina cheers for her fellow migrant workers community, “Never forget you are all heroes to those who rely on you.
Carmina considered herself an introvert “but through running, I have found a way to make new friends and become part of a community of amazing people.”
Roxanne
Full Marathon Runner
Roxanne is running for the MFMW, “as her way to help fund charities for migrant workers on behalf of foreign domestic helpers community in HK !”
As she enjoyed Trail Running, she’s also “Fun to hang out with, especially when you get to know me!”
Emma
10Km Runner
As a Filipino migrant worker in HK,Emma wants to fundraise for the MFMW. Emma is running for the MFMW, “to contribute to the needs of my fellow migrants specially for those who are vulnerable."
Despite her tight schedule taking care of her employers' family, she practices running after her work at night and on her day-off. Bit by bit, from a shorter distance 3-5 Km, she is now able to do a 10Km. It will be her first time to run in the Standard Chatered Marathon in 2025!
Challenging herself running in the Marathon, Emma would like to encourge other migrant workers in HK to be active. She shared "doing exercise such as running is my way to relieve my stress!"

10Km Runner
As the representative from the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union (IMWU). Sring is running for the MFMW “because the MFMW taught me to serve others wholeheartedly,care and encourage for each other!”
Marah Cabania
Full Marathon Runner
Marah Cabania is running for the MFMW “to help raise funds and support my fellow migrant workers.”
As a migrant domestic worker in HK, Marah wanted to “Thank you (MFMW) for continuing helping, supporting migrant workers!"
Michel Bandi
Full Marathon Runner
Michel is from Switzerland. He likes running and he is running for the MFMW “to combine my interest with the meaningful cause that MFMW supports!”
With Michel running in the marathon to support our work, he would like to tell migrants workers in HK,"Welcome to HK. We are grateful to have you!"
Tiak Boon
Half Marathon Runner
Tiak is running for the MFMW to support migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong “as I can understand and empathise with the difficulties and challenges faced by migrant workers!”
Rooney Chow
Half Marathon Runner
Rooney is part of the Life Enrichment Centre and the Youth Ministry of the St. John’s Cathedral. He is running for the MFMW, “to show support to their meaningful work!” Supporting MFMW, one of the Outreach Ministries of the St. John’s Cathedral, Rooney wants to “promote understanding of diverse cultures within our community.”
By actively joining our group running practices , Rooney promotes diversity and inclusion enjoying exercising and sports with the migrant workers community!
Apart from running, Rooney is also a scuba diving and photography lover!
Challenging himself running in the Half-marathon race, Rooney would like to encourge other migrant workers in HK and the youths he work with to ”make a difference together through sorts! ”.
Jave
10KM Runner
Jave is one of the MFMW Charity Runners for the 10KM Race! It is her first time joining the Standard Chartered HK Marathon and her first time running a 10KM race! Jave is running for the MFMW “to make a positive impact” with her skills and experiences!
As a migrant worker in HK, Jave recognised the work the MFMW does with its partners, “it’s heartening that there are individuals and organisations who stand by our side, advocating for the rights and wellbeing of migrant workers!"
With her in the race, Jave also wishes to support migrant workers in HK to enjoy exercising and sports as she it passionate about fitness and healthy lifestyle, “I love to run as it helps me to stay physically active and it lessen my tiredness of whole-day work.”
Katya Cheng
Full marathon Runner
Katya is running for the MFMW “to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of migrant workers, better working conditions and ensure they have access to adequate support.”
As an employee from the Bank of America, Katya is active in volunteering for MFMW and she would like to express her gratutide to the migrant dometic workers in HK, “Thank you and appreciate your hard work, dedication and resilience in contributing to our community.” “Your efforts often go unseen, but they are vital to our daily lives.”

Full Marathon Runner
Gina is running for the MFMW with her first Full Marathon “to make this more meaningful!”
By running these 42.195KM, Gina would like to encourage all migrant workers in HK to relise their power,"You are own Power!". As a fitness coach, Gina meditates during her run!
